Marina was the first child of a young, doting mother and father, who showered both her in attention and love. Under their loving care, she became a sweet, angelic child - sure, she was a little bossy, and maybe a little bit of a braggart. But she was good child, full of love and curiosity.
She was only eight years old when a car wreck killed her father. While crushed by the event, in time Marina learned to accept it and moved on. She was resilient, and knew her new job was to help raise her sister.
Her mother, however, did not accept the loss so easily - she soon found she was terrified of living and raising her children alone. She began dating an old flame from high school, and within a year of the accident, was married. At first, Marina was happy to see her mother happy - but then the abuse started.
It was amazing how fast she changed. She began wearing makeup and skimpy clothes, looking for attention. When she found it in semi-stranger's beds, she started to like it. It made her feel better about herself, people watching her - she grew egotistical. From there came people that hated that, and from that came a worse attitude and a love for drama. When things didn't go her way, she'd bitch and moan. Marina changed, as people do - and she still sees no problem with it.
After one particularly terrible night, 17-year-old Marina and her 13-year-old sister ran away from home. To support them, she dyed her hair pink, dropped out of school, and faked her age to work at Angel's. The snarky name her sister came up with about her new hair became her working (and preferred) name, Cupcake.
Now that her sister is pretty much raised, Cupcake spends her time working, fucking, and whining, per usual. Her biggest job is still keeping Elise alive - which is becoming harder and harder as her gang gains notoriety.

Cupcake loves her job - the attention she gets is amazing and it gives her an excuse to start drama and have sex all she wants. She's never voluntarily skipped work.
Elise is one of the few people she is still genuinely loving to - however, this is covered up with layers of sibling infighting.
